People are concerned when a certain animal or plant species go extinct. But they seem to not notice that a unique culture is in danger.

P0 Support of children and adolescents in remote areas

We act as agents for sponsorships for children and adolescents in the remote areas of Lower Solukumbu, Upper Mustang, Pokhara and in the Kathmandu valley.

We support children and adolescents from families in need who would otherwise not be able to grant their children an adequate education. Mostly, they are mountain farmers who grow their own crops and vegetables. After the two earthquakes in Nepal in 2015, we intensified our support for children and adolescents from Lower Solukhumbu, district of Okhaldhunga.

In order to ensure that the poor families can survive the winter well, we delivered and distributed donated clothes in this area in December, 2015. Also, many people were treated on site in our medicine camp.

Please find more information in our report „Anna's Call for Help for Nepal' Medicine Camp Sherpa country in our blog.

In the map, you will see the villages where the supported children and adolescents live with their families. This will give you an impression why it is not always easy to receive any news. We need an enormous organisational effort – both time and energy – to ensure this.
